5 Mounths Old wow

Where has the time gone? Zane is now 5 months old, wow! He weighs about 12 and a half pounds and is 22 and a half inches long. He is just now starting to realize he has arms and hands and he tries to touch things. He eats about 5 oz. every feeding and sleeps from 9 pm till about 5 am, almost trough the night. I have never had a kid do this, I think Creed was up every 2 hours till he was 2 years old.

Doctors and his therapist seem to be happy with his progress. He has an up coming naphrology appointment due to they found two suspicious areas on his kidneys but we know God has a plan for what ever it is. Thanks for all the prayers along the way!!

Say Cheese!!

Zane is doing good, weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces. He also turned 2 months old this last week. All he does right now is eat and sleep, he eats every 2 and a half hours and eats 3 ounces a feeding. Doctor said is gaining like he should be. Zane also has his own Therapist that has started coming out to the house. She will be working with him 2 times a month to help him with his range of motion and muscle tone. This is one of the side effects

of his condition. Zane is still on a apnea monitor and on medication to remind him breath but is doing really good. Maybe just 30 more days with it.

We had his baby shower last week and it was a great turn out. Thanks to all the people who came out that really meant a lot to me. Thanks to my mom, Rosa, Shelly ,Jenny, and Betsy for all there hard work. Thanks for all the gifts they were truly all blessings.

We Welcome Home Our Little Angel!! 4 Pounds 9 ounces!!

We had to purchase what is called a car bed because Zane is to small for a car seat.

This has been a long road but we are now home and things are going good! Sorry I have not put new pics on lately but we had a long hard last week in NICU. Last Thursday Zane had to have a MRI on his brain because his Doctor thought he might be missing something that is called the Corpus Callosum. This is how both sides of the brain communicate. It is a bunch of nerves that connect one side to the other. Well, the findings were right, he does not have this. They did find some small area where there might be some connections but we do not know now how much there is or how this will effect him later. We have been given worst case to best case and there both not great but knowing we have hope and faith is what is getting us through this.

I just want to thank everyone once again for all your thoughts and prayers. We are home now and Zane is getting stronger everyday and I know its because of all your prayers and God's love. We love you all!!

3 lbs.11ounces and growin!!

Zane is starting to take a bottle once a day. He took 14cc yesterday and 11 today out of 32cc. His Doctor said he is doing great!!

Zane's first real bath!!

Baby Zane is on his way to a full recovery!! He is now up to 3 pounds 7 ounces. He has also come off the warmer this week so he is now able to wear clothes, real small clothes! His doctor said he will try at the end of the week with the bottle. He will be 32 weeks on Saturday and usually they don't get the concept of suck and swallow till 34 weeks. If Zane does all this, Doctor said he could be home in 2 to 3 weeks. All your pray's are working so keep'em comin!! Thanks so much and God bless you all!!

This is the life!! If I can't be in mommys's tummy, being under a warmer is second best!! He is now 3 pounds 2.3 ounces today. He has had a 3 day in a row weight gain. He also now is more alert at feedings and knows when moma has him. The nurses say at night now someone has to hold him when he eats because Im always up there during the day holding him he now wants to be held in the middle of the night. Good thing all the nurses love him and like to hold him.

The One True Gift From God

I really wanted to thank everyone for all there thoughts and prayers they have been sending my way. This has truly been the hardest thing in my life I have had to go through. To leave the hospital without your baby was by far the most pain full thing I have ever felt. Having God in my life and knowing what he did for me keeps me going and knowing my little angel is being watched from above gives me peace. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Daddy's 3rd Pride and Joy

This is the first day he was put on breast milk and he gained .6 of an ounce that day. He is now weighing 3 pounds 1.6 ounces.

Zane has to weigh over 4 pounds to be able to come home. He is now being fed through a feeding tube due to he does not have the concept of suck and swallow yet. This will not come till about 34 weeks and he is currently only 30 and a half weeks. In the NICU they go by how many weeks they would have been verses how many weeks they are till they reach the due date.
